El Paso 2009 | [Family Highlights]

Post Image

While I’m behind on blogging of my Fall 2009 Family photography I didn’t want you to miss this. My 2nd Annual trip to El Paso Texas for family photography happened back in Nov of 2009. This year grew quite a bit from last year (2008) – 8 families here in 2009 over the 2 in 2008. Thanks to Greg & Kelli Deitch along with Nici King for having me out again and for rounding up a few friends each for a highly successful trip! Here’s a highlight reel of the best photos taken from that trip. Thanks to the 8 families for trusting me to document your families this year! WARNING: Ahead of you are 52 photos of family goodness so Beware !

Gatrell Grant | Engagement [Saguaro Nat'l Park]

Haven & Kat are my June 3rd wedding couple – and I was in charge of also telling their engagement story. They have such a great story of how they met and started dating. Too long to tell here – but I will say that Haven proposed to Kat on the trail at Saguaro Nat’l Park east in Tucson. We visited the site again and …added some time at Tanque Verde Guest Ranch to round out or set. thanks guys for showing us all your love for each other… it’s infectious. Can’t wait to shoot your wedding photos !

Ruby Vizcaya | Engagement [Stone Canyon]

Jon & Stephanie are my May 29th couple and I was super excited to work with them… they were well dressed and had alot of fun. Game for anything they were both troopers as we hiked into the desert and climbed rocks. Thanks guys for a fun time and great photo results !

Aubrey | Senior [CFHS '10]

Post Image

Aubrey Thompson comes from a family with average height, but Aubrey is anything but average in all areas of her life. Since I know you want to know Aubrey comes in at 5′10” tall if she’s an inch. With those 4 inch heels she was over 6 feet tall and I struggled to get to her eye level the entire shoot. Good thing I bring a step stool to every shoot. It worked overtime with Aubrey. Aubrey’s mother is a professional artist but Aubrey has excelled in other areas. She is an outstanding two sport athlete playing both Volleyball & Basketball (you guessed that didn’t you?) – she has unfortunately been hobbled by some nagging shoulder injuries that have led to several surguries. This caused Aubrey to take her Senior year off from sports and focus on the things that would take her beyond high school. I dynamo DIVA Aubrey turns heads wherever she goes and it wouldn’t surprise me if she ends up exploring a fashion runway in the future. To whatever you do from here Aubrey you’ve got a great support system in your family and you will make it to the moon if you shoot for the stars ! Best of luck to you, it was an honor and a pleasure working with someone as talented as you!

Morgan | Senior [IRHS '10]

Morgan Blanchard has friends in high places and friends that told her about me. I was super excited to work with Morgan cause she’s crazy fun and loves to smile. I didn’t have one photo of her without a smile. We had so much fun together & it was easy to tell why she is held in such high regard among her peers ! Morgan – I am still smiling and laughing when I see your photos from our session. You were such a trooper. It was a blast to have your BFF along with your Dad and other support. I know you’ve got big things ahead of you, it’ll be fun to see what’s next !
