Felicity is the first born daughter to friends Ryan & Amber Kramer… this turned out to be our “newborn” followup to her maternity photos. Felicity isn’t so newborn anymore .. she’s nearly 6 months old now, and just cute as a button. Just cause we were behind the normal schedule of the 8 week followup we didn’t want… to miss an opp to get some fun photos of them and capture some of how life has changed. Ryan is the high school pastor at my church Casas Church – and its always a pleasure to work with you guys.. I count you among my friends and it’s an honor to do so. I hope you guys enjoy these !

Greg and Melanie go way back with Heidi and I … more so with Heidi than I. Heidi grew up in Lake Havasu with Melanie, most of those LHC folks were together since like kindergarden or some such craziness. Heidi’s connection with Greg is more intersting. Heidi used to be in Human Resources for a company in Tucson called “Modular Mining” and 11 years ago Heidi recruited and helped hire Greg into his current job. Heidi was the one that presented the official job offer to Greg. Those days are all behind us and Greg and Melanie have been honored to add Madelyn to their family. Madelyn, the firstborn does “serious” really well. In fact she’s an expert at it. It wasn’t until I brought out my donald duck noises did I discover she’s got some fun crazy expressions. She warmed to me fast and we ended up with some great family portraits. Thanks Melanie for being a fan of my work and asking me to capture your family on film !

Andrew Hubbard is the complete package. He might be homeschooled – but he’s not like any homeschooler I know. How do I know this you ask? He’s got all the right skills. He can defend his honor and family with his 2nd degree black belt in Karate. He’s a romantic with his musicial skills both on the piano and the electric guitar, and he’s good looking too boot. Too bad he’s taken already ladies ! His special woman is also shooting her senior photos with me coming up so you’ll get a peak at who’s captured his heart. Andrew is also a man of action and he takes action w/ proper planning and training which was a trend that started at an early age. Age 6 he begins the Piano lessons and while his parents had him continue at their request he’s grown into a love of his musical talent in the 11 years since crafting his abilities. I was lucky enough to hear firsthand on our shoot how good he’s become. Age 15 he decides after playing hours of “guitar hero” on the game console that he wants to learn how to play the guitar. They go straight for training from a professional instructor and jump in with both feet. He’s versed in both the acoustic and electric but prefers the electric ! Andrew’s abilities and talents don’t stop there… not even close. Next up was Karate – and again formal training from the best was in order. Andrew has now earned his 2nd degree black belt and was State Champ in 2009 for his division, not so shabby for someone who’s homeschooled. The only thing brighter than his history is his FUTURE. Andrew is currently working on taking online courses from a university out east upon which time 2 years from now he’ll have a bachelor’s degree and then switch to U of A and work on his MASTER’s in education. He wants to teach the brightest and best youngster’s out there and show them they can be anything they can dream up. Andrew can you teach my kids? Brittney is as full of life as she looks in these photos.. she’s vibrant, excited & as expressive as anyone I’ve ever met. She laughs more than one should given the challenges she’s met in life. She’s found new life with the Groen’s who love her beyond measure. It was so much fun to be apart of the love and friendship that Brittney and Tanwya have for each other. They now share nearly everything including clothes. We included her love of dance into the shoot at sunset. She’s on the Pom Squad at Marana High – and puts her talents to good use there. Thanks Brittney for making me smile as much as you did for your photoshoot. Love to hear what you do from here !

Chuck and Carrie Hess are some of our best of friends. It was their wedding that was my first ever as a photographer. Carrie was my first bride.. and I have a fun “retro” wedding post here on the blog – search the archives to find it. Also in the family category I have a fun post of Carrie’s maternity photos along with Josiah’s first day in the hospital on his 1/1/2010 birthday. Here’s our newborn followup session with Josiah.
